EXTENDING ACCREDITATION OF A REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE
Accreditation of a representative office is provided for one, two or three years. The term of accreditation of a representative office is indicated in the permit for its establishment. The validity period of the permit can be extended for the subsequent one, two or three years provided that a foreign legal entity applies to the Chamber in due time.
A foreign legal entity should apply to the FBI SRC with the Russian Ministry of Justice for extending an accreditation period of a representative office at least 21 business days prior to its expiry.
In case a foreign legal entity failed to apply for accreditation extension , a representative office is deemed to have terminated its operations. A representative office can resume its operations in keeping with the procedure stipulated for obtaining a permit for the establishment of a representative office.
When extending the accreditation period, , the establishment permit and the Certificate of inclusion in the Uniform State Register of accredited representative offices of foreign companies on the territory of the Russian Federation is reissued. Accredited employees of a representative office should also apply for the extension of accreditation and reissue of accreditation cards.
While looking forward to further cooperation we call your attention to the fact that a failure to submit a report impedes the accreditation procedures. Please see the report form at the Chamber’s website section List of Documents Required for Extent ion of Accreditation of Representative Office.
A permit for extending accreditation of a representative office is issued within 18 business days starting from the day a full set of required documents is provided. If necessary, this time line can be reduced to 5 working days.
